VE 80 BEACON LIGHTING

Barwell Parish Council would like to thank everyone who attended their VE 80th anniversary beacon lighting in Kirkby Park last night. It wasn't the warmest of evenings but plenty of you came along to support. With war time music, light refreshments due to our usual caterers having to cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, a wonderful display of warship models, lovely old Bentley car and a reading and blessing from the rector of St Mary's Church.
